DB-DATABANK has the necessary experience and technical know-how to provide Information Services and Customer Service to Authorities and Organizations of the broader Public Sector.
A characteristic example is the TAXIS-Phone project which was awarded (following a bid) to DB-DATABANK for four consecutive years by General Secretariat for Information Systems. This is an automated voice service which renders tax clearing information to Greek taxpayers with a simple phone call. In addition – for three years — DB-DATABANK delivered, in its capacity as technical subcontractor of OTE, the "IASIS" project to the Ministry of Health (Dial Number 1535).
A wide-scale application, e/m-Government is the AMBER ALERT, which is the initiative of the association “XAMOGELO TOU PAIDIOU”. The AMBER ALERT initiative of the «XAMOGELO TOU PAIDIOU» Association is a National coordinative program for the prompt notification of citizens in missing person cases and child abductions which was established with the participation of 40 governmental and private organizations: Ministries, Ports, Airports, Subway Stations, the Attica Odos Company, Landline and Mobile Telephony Companies, Radio stations and Television Stations, etc.). The project “runs” through the technological infrastructures of DB-DATABANK which is the central coordinator of AMBER ALERT.
The project is already extended to a broader European framework which initially includes Portugal, Italy and possibly Cyprus. DB-DATABANK is executing the project with community funds which were secured with the “DAPHNE III, CHILD ABDUCTION ALERT” program.
